The School of Artivism – Community sessions continue

First Self-Managed Community Session

The School of Artivism, developed within the Feed Your Future project and curated by Julia Rajacic and Tiziana Pers, has officially completed its main programme for 2025. Over the past two months, young artists from across Europe and beyond have gathered for a free, experimental learning experience exploring how art can create ecological and social impact.

Through eight online sessions—two of which were open to the public—participants engaged with international artists, thinkers, and activist practitioners to explore practices that are embodied, collaborative, and politically imaginative. The school invited them to see art as a magnetic compass for navigating the Anthropocene, a tool for justice and dignity, and a powerful force for collective transformation.

Although the official programme has now concluded, a group of participants has decided to continue meeting independently and cultivate the community that formed throughout the school.

For everyone interested in staying connected to the informal, self-organized community, the first independent session will take place:

Tuesday, 9 December
18:30–20:30 CET
Join via Jitsi: https://meet.jit.si/Artist%E2%80%99smeeting

Theme: Discussing Communities
The meeting will begin with a round of introductions and a discussion on what “community” means for each participant.
The second part will feature a presentation by Nafsika Hadjichristou on communities in the south of Mexico, followed by an open conversation on the topic.

Participants who wish to receive reminders and updates are encouraged to add their contact information HERE.

The School of Artivism may have ended its formal curriculum, but its spirit continues—through care, courage, and a growing community of young artists committed to imagining and shaping more just, regenerative futures.
