ARTEFATTO_SeetheSea | Second residency | Trieste | May 21-27

The artists selected by ARTEFATTO_SeetheSea will return to Trieste for the 13th edition of the project promoted by the Municipality of Trieste to enhance young creativity under 30. KIKI SKIPI (Chiara Pulselli from Oristano), r_a_c_h_i_t_i_c_o (Simone Carraro from Treviso), Noeyes (Giulia Salamone from Siracusa) and Tea Jurišić from the Croatian city of Osijek will realize the sketches developed during the first week of residence in the city, dedicated to the aknowledgement of places, people and contexts. It will be a “four-hands” work that will be developed on the perimeter wall of the Grezar Stadium resulting from a complex design method, based on the integration of styles and guided by an intense relationship between the artists and the artistic director of the Chromopolis project, Mattia Campo dall’Orto (from Macross Association). Guest artists will be Nicholas Perra from Trieste and Boxe from Milan.

ARTEFATTO is an “event generator” and during the week of residence there are many scheduled appointments. First of all a conference organized by “INWARD_observatory on urban creativity”, partner of the project, which develops the theme “Social Urban Creativity”. To follow, the re-establishment of “Parkour mon Amour” a temporary installation created by the students of the Edilmaster School and the Parkour Association of Trieste, presented at the Milan Triennale, and a concert in the framework of YEAH Young Events Artists Hub of the ProjeTS association. To these appointments is added the General Assembly of BJCEM that the city of Trieste hosts for the first time from May 24 to 25, in one of the most significant places of the PAG_Project Youth Area: the headquarters of the Youth Center located on Colle di San Giusto .

The second week of residence will also continue with another concrete and fundamental action, involving the students of the Galilei High School, coordinated by the young architects and planners of the SuperAbile Collective. A digital mapping of surfaces and works dedicated to street art will be created and put online.
