In connection with Mediterranea 17 Young Artists Biennale, BJCEM, with the support and under the Patronage of the City of Turin, under the Patronage of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, and with the support of the Creative Europe Program of the European Commission, organised an international forum in Turin “Biennale 3.0 | 30 years of creative productions”, on October 23rd.
An open lab to collect feedbacks from experts and representatives of the most important European cultural organisations, around the topic of contemporary art in the Mediterranean: Cimetta Fund, René Seydoux Foundation, The Arab Education Forum, Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, Con.Me Platform, EACEA, Culture Action Europe.

It is now available the conference paper, curated by Marta Chiantore, with the coordination of BJCEM.

Ore 14.30 | Seconda sessione: Dialogo e creatività nel Mediterraneo

Le prospettive future della BJCEM, il ruolo che può giocare la Biennale nel contesto Euromediterraneo, come motore di dialogo interculturale. Il dibattito sul funzione sociale della cultura e dell’arte, sulle strategie che possono essere attivate per promuovere l’incontro con le comunità di migranti presenti nei territori della rete BJCEM, individuando nuovi interlocutori provenienti dal Terzo Settore.

The future perspectives of the BJCEM, the role that the Biennale can play in the Euro-Mediterranean context as a driver of intercultural dialogue. The debate on the social role of culture and art, the strategies that can be activated to promote dialogue with migrant communities in the territories of the BJCEM network.
