WORKSHOP
DALLA MENTE ALLE MANI
31st of Mars - 9th of April 2007, Monastère de Santa Maria del Lavello, Calolziocorte(Lecco)

From April to September 2007 Arci Lecco organized a series of events in order to promote artistic activities usually organized by Arci and Bjcem and forming an alternative artistic network.
Artists coming from Art High Schools, from Fine and Applied Schools and from Arci Lombardia were chosen to work in four different groups to produce works inspired by "Kairos: Our Creative Differences" during a week of workshops held at the Santa Maria del Lavello monastery in Calolziocorte.
Within this 12th-century building, situated on the banks of the Lake Como and with the green hills of Lario behind, a group of judges choose the work "Balances" by the group of Eleonora Pontiggia "Emoglobine" .This sculpure combines iron, water, spices, pigments and copper coins in a modern and efficacious representation of the Mediterranean and its colours, scents and flavours.
The workshop, opened to the public, was made more interesting by a calligraphy exhibition by the Tunisian artist Raouf Gharbia called"Let's overcome our differences", by a photographic exhibition called "Teatrobutoh" by the artist Bruno Freddi and also by other various evening shows.
