The Youth Area in Seville Town Council includes among its objectives the promotion of its young artists, thus each year it announces the contest entitled Youth Seville Creation, which this year celebrates its tenth edition. The first series of this Youth Creation Contest was held in 1985 and, among its winners, we find artists so much established as the painter Paco Broca or fashion designers like Manuel Ortiz. This year, seven different modalities have been announced: Plastic Arts, Literature (short story and poetry), Video, Comic, Graffiti, 3D Animation and Photography. The prize for each modality consist of 2000 ? for the first prize and of 600 ? for the consolation prize. The new modalities of Graffiti and 3D Animation have been created in order to fulfill the need of awarding the new forms of artistic creation in which young people are so much interested. In our competition, all the young people between the ages of 16 and 30, living or born in Seville, can participate,. This edition deadline is next May, 31st. The Contest ends with the Youth Creation Exhibition where all the works submitted to the competition are on show at municipal expositive spaces. Among this year's winners, we will choose those who are going to represent our city in the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and Mediterranean which will be held in Naples next year, 2005.
