BJCEM French partner The Window invited two Cypriot artists Dimitris Chimonas and Theodoulos Polyviou to attend a two-week residency at The Window Laboratoire Paris, coordinated by Catherine Bay.
Chimonas & Polyviou have been developing discussions and practically investigating the sculptural qualities of the body and inversely, sculpture as a trigger and accommodating platform for action. In this two-week residency the artists will explore the politics and social structures of spaces in which humans are invited to acknowledge their potential to feel and sense, to be intuitive, to be animals. By focusing on the architecture and narratives that outline these spaces, the artists will develop a sculpture that will be completed with a performance with Alberto Sorbelli on the opening night.
Performance: March 31st at 7pm
Exhibition duration: March 31st – April 10th
