July 11-15 2012 / Sestiere della Maddalena – Genoa, Italy
Fokus Grupa and Mohamed Arejdal, two of the selected artists for Disorder, are going to take part to the second step of the workshop La Ville Ouverte 2, organized by ARCI and Cantieri d’Arte in Genoa.
After the first step touching the cities of Casablanca, Viterbo, Thessaloniki and Rome, the project moves now towards the city of Genoa and involves new artists: besides Fokus Grupa and Mohamed Arejdal, italian artist Christan Tripodina is also going to take part to the workshop, which will be coordinated by Gruppo A12, a collective of architects.
The upgrade of a urban city area through the practices of the arts is the main goal of the project: the art is conceived as the instrument for a dialogue with the territory and its inhabitants and allows abandoned buildings to re-gain a function in the memory of the city.
